Anthony T. DeSipio, a real-estate broker in Overbrook and an Army veteran of World War II, died Wednesday. He was 92 and lived in Glen Mills, but had lived most of his life in Philadelphia.
Anthony T. DeSipio, a real-estate broker in Overbrook and an Army veteran of World War II, died Wednesday. He was 92 and lived in Glen Mills, but had lived most of his life in Philadelphia.
He was born in South Philadelphia and served in the Army near the end of the war. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and served as a certified public accountant for the old Frankford Arsenal for 30 years.
After leaving the arsenal, he opened his real-estate business in Overbrook and was active for more than 30 years. He was 88 when he retired to Glen Mills.
He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Vetri; a son, Anthony T. Jr.; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren; three stepsons, Paul, Ronnie and Domenic Pronio; a step-daughter, Donna Shaheen; eight stepgrandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Elizabeth Ramagnano, and a grandson, Jason.
Services: Funeral Mass 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford. Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.
