In the 1984, Mr. Fry, his wife, Karen, and partner Kevin Simmons established Accu-Decal, a silk-screen printing business in Philadelphia. In 1992, he retired to dabble in the stock market and tinker. "He could fix anything," said his daughter, Lisa Grewe.
A fisherman, Mr. Fry invented EZ Clean 2000, a fish-cleaning table made from polyethylene with a work surface and back splash. He marketed the table to tackle shops and anglers as far away as Alaska, his daughter said. Mr. Fry was born in Newport, Wales, where his father had served in the Army during World War II and married a local girl.
The family moved to Folcroft in 1955, and Mr. Fry graduated from Sharon Hill High School.
He and his future wife met at a wedding when they were 16. They married in 1972.
They enjoyed riding their dual-sport motorcycles through Wharton State Forest and spending time at their vacation home in Mystic Islands, N.J., a base for many boating adventures. In addition to his wife and daughter, Mr. Fry is survived by his mother, Marjorie.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. today at the mansion at Rosemont Presbyterian Village, 404 Cheswick Place, Rosemont.
Memorial donations may be made to Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, 10 W. Broadway, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.
