Antoinette Michelle Jones, 42, of Darby, a caretaker of the handicapped and a friend to many, died of cancer last Saturday at her home.
Ms. Jones was born and raised in West Philadelphia. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School and a congregation member of Second Pilgrim Baptist Church.
Ms. Jones worked for KenCrest Services as a health-care manager for mentally handicapped clients.
"They loved her," said her sister, Jessica Jeter, who called her sister a humanitarian who gave food and clothes to people in need.
Ms. Jones had a wide circle of friends, her sister said. And she loved to cook. "Holidays, it was always over at her house," Jeter said. "She'd cook for three or four families."
Ms. Jones also is survived by a son, Junius Bridgeford IV; two daughters, Andrea and Danielle; her mother, Constance Jeter; her father, James C.; and a brother, Robert Anthony Jones.
A viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. today at Second Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1501 Poplar St., with a service to follow. Interment will be private.
