Leonard E. Lee, 90, of Jenkintown, a wholesale jewelry salesman for 40 years, died of Alzheimer's disease Tuesday, April 27, at Highland Manor in Exeter, Pa.

Leonard E. Lee, 90, of Jenkintown, a wholesale jewelry salesman for 40 years, died of Alzheimer's disease Tuesday, April 27, at Highland Manor in Exeter, Pa.

Mr. Lee graduated from Wilmington High School and attended Villanova University. During World War II he served in the Navy as a radio man aboard the destroyer Edison in the Pacific.

After his discharge, he operated a luncheonette in Philadelphia before becoming a manufacturer's representative for jewelry companies. He retired in the early 1990s. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Delaware Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

He loved entertaining and cooked elaborate meals for family and friends, his son Richard said. He should have been a chef, his son said.

Mr. Lee enjoyed travel, reading and crossword puzzles, and until last year was driving to Atlantic City casinos.

His wife of 41 years, Irma Shefrin Lee, died in 1994. He then was married for four years to Mickey Martin Lee, who died in 2002.

In addition to his son, Mr. Lee is survived by stepchildren Marsha Pinto, Lindanne Martin-Gornall and Morris Zweighaft; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 30, at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael-Sacks Memorial Chapel, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton. Burial will be in Shalom Memorial Park.
