Anthony Colletta, 57, Philadelphia deputy budget director since 2010, died of cardiac arrest Saturday, Nov. 19, at his home in Philadelphia.

Anthony Colletta, 57, Philadelphia deputy budget director since 2010, died of cardiac arrest Saturday, Nov. 19, at his home in Philadelphia.

Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Colletta graduated from North Catholic High School for Boys in 1972 and earned a bachelor's degree at what is now La Salle University in 1976.

He worked on budgets for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health from 1981 to 1990, where his last post was information management analyst.

A daughter, Jennifer, said he then was a budget analyst for the office of the finance director from 1990 to 1998 and a budget analyst supervisor there from 1998 to 2010.

Mr. Colletta was president from 2003 to 2006 of the alumni association of North Catholic High School, for which he was a member of the board of governors for more than 25 years.

He was the webmaster and photographer for the Lawncrest Musical Players, a community theater group.

Besides his daughter, Mr. Colletta is survived by his wife, Maryann; another daughter, Angela; and a sister.

Viewings were set from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the Hollens Funeral Home, 3160 Grant Ave., and from 8 to 9 a.m. there Saturday, Nov. 26, before a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Resurrection of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 2000 Shelmire Ave., with burial in Lawnview Memorial Park.
