Born in Regensburg, Germany, Dr. Fordham graduated from Vineland (N.J.) High School in 1946, earned a bachelor's in biology at Ursinus College in 1949, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1953.
He served in the Army Dental Corps in West Germany in 1953-54.
Dr. Fordham taught periodontics as a part-time adjunct professor at the Penn dental school from 1957 to 1985, his son Kenneth C. Jr. said.
In 1972, he set up the Fordham-Page Clinic near his office as a nonprofit foundation that offered holistic medical treatments.
"He took patients that suffered from chronic ailments that didn't fit the vernacular of medicine," his son said. "He was a guy who tried to get physicians to look at the body from a holistic standard."
The clinic closed in 2000.
Besides his son, Dr. Fordham is survived by Beverly, his wife of 58 years; sons Michael and Jeffrey; daughter Patti Denichols; a brother; and nine grandchildren.
A visitation was set to begin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, 191 Town Center Rd., King of Prussia. A memorial service was set for 2.
