Michael B. Davy, 90, an FBI agent and longtime resident of Narberth, died Monday, May 20, of natural causes at the Quadrangle in Haverford.

Mr. Davy was a special agent for the FBI from 1948 to 1972. His first posting was to San Francisco, but when he was transferred to the agency's Philadelphia office, he liked it so much that he stayed until retirement, said his friend Jim Ceribelli.

Mr. Davy also was a lawyer who graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1948. He was admitted to the bar in Wisconsin and was qualified to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court.

"He was a lawyer, but his path was that he joined the FBI," said Ceribelli.

Born in Watertown, Wis., he graduated from the University of Wisconsin.

Mr. Davy served in the Army from 1943 to 1946 in the Pacific.

Mr. Davy was a warm and caring person, Ceribelli said. He made himself the unofficial greeter at the Cynwyd Club, making sure everyone had an opponent for tennis and squash.

Surviving are a sister, Margaret Michaels, and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was Wednesday, May 29, with interment in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.

Donations may be made to the American Red Cross, Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter, 2221 Chestnut St., Philadelphia 19103.
