Warren Freedman, 82, of Wellington, Fla., cofounder of a Jenkintown accounting firm, died of heart failure on Sunday, July 14, at the Atlanticare Health System medical center in Pomona, N.J.

Warren Freedman, 82, of Wellington, Fla., cofounder of a Jenkintown accounting firm, died of heart failure on Sunday, July 14, at the Atlanticare Health System medical center in Pomona, N.J.
He was a member of the Cherry Hill Planning Board in the late 1960s, his son said, and a founder and first president of the former Brandywoods Civic Association there. He was also a golfer, a tennis player and an amateur cartoonist.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Freedman graduated from West Philadelphia High School and earned a bachelor's in accounting at Temple University in 1952.
After conducting a certified public accounting firm under his name near Cottman and Bustleton Avenues in Northeast Philadelphia, in 1975 he cofounded Weiss Freedman Accounting, from which he retired in 1998, son Lee said Monday.
Besides his son, Mr. Freedman is survived by his wife of 28 years, Izzie; another son, Marc, daughter Staci Mishkin; stepdaughters Cimone Goldman, Janine Kubert, and Nicole Levin, 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. His first wife, Florence, died in 1982.
