Ingrid Olsen Hager, 91, a former registered nurse at a methadone clinic in Camden, died Saturday, Aug. 10, at her daughter's home in Bellevue, Wash.

A graduate of Moorestown High School, Mrs. Hager also graduated from the former Cooper Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a pediatric nurse there until she married psychiatrist George W. Hager Jr. in 1943.

Mrs. Hager returned to nursing from the late 1960s into the 1970s, to work at the Camden methadone clinic.

"She would get up every morning at the crack of dawn and give methadone to addicts," her daughter, Bethanne Weibling, said.

The treatment, Weibling said, "allowed many of them to go on and work" each day.

"I think that was a great passion" of her life, Weibling said.

"In her final days," she talked about being "very concerned about people that end up dealing with addictions. It was very much at the forefront of her thinking."

A former resident of Cherry Hill, Mrs. Hager was a decades-long member of the Haddonfield Fortnightly, a civic and social club, of which she was at one time president, Weibling said.

She was a member of the Cooper Hospital Women's Auxiliary and volunteered with Interfaith Caregivers, driving people to doctors' appointments.

In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Hager is survived by son George W. III; two brothers; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 2012.

Visitation was set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Wood Lane and Wayne Avenue, Haddonfield, before an 11 a.m. memorial service there.
