Letters | Why I joined the NRA

ISUPPORT the Second Amendment, but I wasn't an NRA member when Philadelphia was making its gun laws. On being told the city's laws made criminals of every hunter passing through on the interstate, Mayor Rizzo replied that the police wouldn't enforce the law in that case. On hearing that the rights of every Pennsylvanian depended on city police not enforcing the law, I became a fan of state pre-emption and joined the NRA.
