Letters: 'Going Green' needs some real action

EVERYWHERE you look, there are signs saying "Going Green" - yet people are still burning trash and throwing plastic, paper, cans and cardboard into the trash instead of recycling.

EVERYWHERE you look, there are signs saying "Going Green" - yet people are still burning trash and throwing plastic, paper, cans and cardboard into the trash instead of recycling.

Saying that you are going to do something is not good enough. Putting signs up everywhere is not going to stop anything. Just look at the polar bears. They are dying off because we don't feel like putting our plastic in the recycling bin.

It's not that hard to walk over to the bin and put our plastic in there. It's not that hard to call up a friend and carpool. It's not that hard to ride a bike to the park or store.

Once you think about it,

it's not that hard to save the polar bears.
