Letters: Tax amnesty shortfall?
THE CITY and School District are owed more than half a billion dollars in delinquent taxes. Despite an amnesty period, collections so far are only $7 million. Evidently these delinquents aren't afraid to remain delinquent after the amnesty. Would the city have received more money had they placed change boxes in convenience stores?
