Letters: Don't blame poor little Kelly the pit bull for carriage-horse attack in Old City Philadelphia

IJUST HAVE to voice my opinion about what happened in Old City about the pit bull attacking the horse-drawn carriage.

I hope this will give people some insight as to why there should be NO horse-drawn carriages in the first place - they are unsafe and cruel.

What those horses have to go through daily is unheard of. This has been a really big problem for years.

As for as the poor dog named Kelly, her name is Kelly because she was thrown out of a car on Kelly Drive - that tells you something. God only knows what happened to her before she was placed in the safe hands at PAWS!

The people who are guilty of enabling this horrific act are the carriage owners and whoever threw Kelly out of the car - not the animal.
