Letters: Shannon Bellamy not exactly a 'victim' in affair with Sharon Baptist Church pastor
RE SHANNON Bellamy, the so-called "victim" of an affair with a pastor: I've had the opportunity to hear this woman's interviews, and each time she plays the victim.
RE SHANNON Bellamy, the so-called "victim" of an affair with a pastor:
I've had the opportunity to hear this woman's interviews, and each time she plays the victim.
But a "victim" doesn't take part in a full-blown affair for three years, having knowledge of his wife and children, and then turn around and claim that she was taken advantage of.
As a Christian, you too had the responsibility to honor the commandments, as in "Thou shalt not commit adultery." Having said that, everyone makes mistakes, so this is no judgment against you, but you're the one who keeps giving interviews.
You say you're trying to help other women in your actions, but you have yet to donate one penny to a charity or organization to put your money where your mouth is.
This pastor is wrong for having an affair, and to that he owes his wife and, more importantly, God, an apology.
What you need to do instead of trying to exploit your affair is ask God for forgiveness, recognize your role in this affair, and move on!
What kind of woman keeps going back to the church, and harassing members with her eyesore of a van?

I can't believe Shannon Bellamy wrote a book, filed a lawsuit and is now claiming to be a victim of her former pastor at Sharon Baptist Church.
Clearly this woman sought a man in power in the pulpit.

Taxed out of the party
I just have to gripe!
I was driving the other day on Frankford Avenue in Northeast Philly, just south of Grant Avenue near Katherine of Siena Catholic Church.
New homes are going up in that area, and I noticed a sign on a fence advertising "10-Year Tax Abatements"!
Can someone please tell me why current homeowners in this city will have their property taxes increased almost 10 percent while people able to buy new homes are still getting tax breaks? What is going on?
Then on Linden Avenue, I noticed the playground pool is still closed. Are there plans to open it, or since Liddonfield Homes closed, will the pool be closed as well to the children left in the neighborhood?
I don't like what's going on in this city, and the only satisfaction I have is that I didn't vote for any of you on City Council, or the current mayor. I was a registered Democrat at that time but have since changed my political party.

Doesn't buy his Sabina story
I have been following the heartbreaking story about the savage rape-murder of Sabina Rose O'Donnell.
I don't buy the punk's story about him wanting to steal her bike - he was after one thing only. I hope he gets the same treatment in prison that he gave her. Enjoy your punishment with a smile! My heartfelt condolences go out to her family.
