Letters: Leslie Nielsen: Surely, he'll be missed

I WAS saddened to read of the death of Leslie Nielsen. He was brilliantly funny in "Airplane," and, on the strength of that performance, starred in his own short-lived TV series, "Police Squad." The ratings didn't support it, unfortunately, and it was canceled in short order.

Thankfully, there were some people watching with senses of humor, so the "Naked Gun" movies were born. Nielsen (as Lt. Frank Drebin) brought the funny, along with his unusual assortment of sidekicks and archvillains. He'll be sorely missed.

I read he died in Florida. Hmmm - anyone know where O.J. is?
