Help on the way?

The National Forest System Trails Stewardship Act (House Bill 845) would address the growing backlog of maintenance needed in our national forests. If passed, this legislation would keep more trails open and accessible by expanding the use of volunteers and partner organizations - a wonderful solution to a persistent problem.

Democrats and Republicans in Washington don't agree on much, but they agree that this bipartisan bill would do a lot of good. The Keystone Trails Association thanks U.S. Reps. Ryan Costello (R., Pa.); Matt Cartwright (D., Pa.), and Glenn Thompson (R., Pa.) for their support of this bill. With so many trails in eastern Pennsylvania, including the Schuylkill River Trail, Appalachian Trail, and Horse-Shoe Trail, it is critical that Congress pass this bipartisan bill this year.
