Families can learn about Pennsylvania's and our nation's past at the historic Stenton house museum in Philadelphia.

Kids can enjoy an interactive introduction to this house - once owned by William Penn's secretary, James Logan - and learn about Native American technology, 18th century life, and more.

Visitors can tour an 18th-century barn and look at colonial items such as sleds, wampum belts, and snowshoes that were used and created by American Indians from this region. They also can identify and discuss the agricultural tools in the barn, including items for colonial food preparation, building equipment, and blacksmithing gear.

James Logan's relationship with the Indians who lived in Pennsylvania and visited Stenton in the 1700s are reviewed on the tour. Stenton is a member of the Historic Germantown Freedom's Backyard partnership, which is comprised of 14 attractions located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

Peanuts pals

Snoopy and a few of his Peanuts pals will perform this weekend at Dorney Park's new Good Time Theatre in the Snoopy Rocks on Ice show.

The show, which also features more than a dozen world-class skaters, will capture memorable Peanuts moments such as Snoopy's battle with the Red Baron, Lucy's five-cent psychiatric advice, holiday memories, Charlie Brown's kite-flying troubles, and the Peanuts characters having a good time.

Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, which owns the park, has worked closely with Jill Schulz, daughter of the late Peanuts creator, Charles M. Schulz. The show is directed and choreographed by Karen Kresge, who worked with Schulz for 21 years. The show is performed at various times throughout the day.
