Children can discover their inner shark this weekend in Gill's Clubhouse at Adventure Aquarium in Camden.

Kids can compare their strength to that of a shark's jaws by testing out the shark jaw pressure interactive game. They can also meet the aquarium's new mascot, Gill.

Families are invited to experience an interactive shark X-ray showing the inner workings of a shark's anatomy and its organs. Other exclusive clubhouse activities let visitors build a virtual shark and compare a human's sense of smell to a shark's. Visitors will learn how they detect odors and how different it is from the heightened ability sharks possess.

Families can also see the new tiger shark on exhibit in the aquarium's 760,000-gallon Ocean Realm Exhibit. The Adventure Aquarium is the only aquarium in the eastern United States and one of only three in the country to exhibit a tiger shark.

K is for kids

The K is for Kids exhibition at Winterthur Museum & Country Estate in Wilmington presents the ABCs of museum collecting.

The K is for Kids exhibition, which was created to appeal to a child's sense of fun and curiosity, offers visitors an alphabetical look at Winterthur's diverse collection. The exhibition includes items from an aquarium to zoo animal cards - with a fire bucket, a globe, and more. Rhyming descriptions accompany the items, encouraging children to look closely and inviting families to read aloud. The exhibition explores historic methods of reading education and celebrates literacy in America.

Fishing at an orchard

Linvilla Orchards will offer fishing for the family this weekend.

From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, adults and children can catch and release fish, as long as the fish are OK. No fishing license is required to participate. Families can hook monster catfish, big bluegill, and large-mouth bass. Kids can also go to the Playland Playground and visit and feed chickens, peacocks, ducks, and more. Families can also take hayrides to the orchards and fields.
