Children and adults can welcome the holiday season on Sunday at the fifth-annual Winter Wonderland and tree-lighting ceremony at Historic Headhouse Square.

From 5 to 7 p.m., families can enjoy Carol's Carolers and a special performance by children from the Point Breeze Performing Arts Center.

There will be hot chocolate for visitors to enjoy, holiday-themed face painting, and balloon art. Families can pose for holiday pictures or take a horse-and-buggy tour of the neighborhood with the 76 Carriage Co. Santa will make his way through the Winter Wonderland from the firehouse station. Children will be able to see the fire truck and get inside the "North Pole" station to write letters to Santa. The tree lighting will be at 6 p.m.

Holiday Festival of Lights

Camden Children's Garden will open its eighth annual Holiday Festival of Lights on Saturday.

Kids can have fun making crafts, playing games, and tree decorating from noon to 4 p.m. Santa will arrive in the afternoon, and children can also meet Mum Bear.

From 5:30 to 8 p.m., the first night of the Holiday Festival of Lights will begin and the garden will be lighted for the first time this year. The lighting of the garden includes animated light sculptures and the Enchanted Wonderland. Kids also can have fun on the train ride, the Garden Carousel and the Butterfly Spring Ride. The Festival of Lights is held every Friday and Saturday evening through Jan. 2.

Rockin' Road Show

Mickey Mouse and a few of his pals will perform at the Wachovia Center at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday for the "Disney Live Rockin' Road Show."

Produced by Kenneth Feld and Alana Feld, the show revolves around an unpredictable road trip as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald spontaneously attempt to round up acts for their talent show. Thanks to Mickey's fantastical bus, they are able to soar over mountains and plunge underwater to complete their search for performers.

Families and audiences can enjoy a visual experience such as the scenic backdrop that takes them through country hillsides, a cactus-filled desert, a royal village, and other picturesque locales.

The show also will spotlight other popular characters performing to a mix of Disney tunes. Audiences can join Cinderella as she performs "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo," bounce along with Tigger to "The Whoop-De-Dooper Bounce," and more.
