Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing has partnered with local organizations for the Hyatt Helping Haiti fund-raiser on Valentine's Day, benefiting American Red Cross' relief efforts.

By buying a ticket to Sunday's event, 1 to 4 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom, families can help the Hyatt reach its goal of $10,000. The fund-raiser will feature a petting zoo from the Philadelphia Zoo, face painting, arts and crafts, video and arcade games, a moon bounce, and more.

Mummers and Eagles cheerleaders will be there, and fun-filled food stations, included with admission, feature decorate-your-own cupcakes for kids. A raffle will feature prizes including a three-night stay in Orlando, restaurant gift cards, hotel stays, tickets to local attractions, and a free slumber party at Hyatt Regency Philadelphia. Complimentary self-parking is included with admission through sponsor Towne Park. Other vendors and sponsors include US Foodservice, the zoom, CBS3, and PSAV.

Choo-Choo Soul

arrives Sunday at the Grand in Wilmington, a show with an imaginative and hip take on lessons for children.

The soulful duo will present their renditions of the ABCs, 1-2-3s, courtesy, and more beginning at 1 p.m. Making a transition from Playhouse Disney television to Wilmington, the show is led by singer Genevieve Goings and dancer Constantine "DC" Abramson. They will break-dance and beatbox aboard an animated train keeping kids and adults rocking.

Goings, a hip-hop songwriter and neo-soul performer, works with Disney creating musical curriculum that teaches English as a second language to young children. Break-dancer and beatboxer Abramson is an actor and also is the mascot Thunder for the NBA's Golden State Warriors.

Night out for parents

On Valentine's Day, Philadelphia School of Circus Arts lets parents enjoy an evening on the town while their kids enjoy the school.

Parents Night Out, designed for children 5 to 12, is 5:30 to 8:30. Kids will have a pizza dinner and circus workshops, and make juggling balls to take home. A juggling and circus show will entertain youngsters.
