About the Union: The Union will be without outside defender Sheanon Williams, who earned a red card in last week's draw with Seattle. . . . Central defender Jeff Parke is likely out with a hamstring injury. . . . Gabe Farfan is expected to replace Williams, while Bakary Soumare could make his first start of the year for Parke. . . . Jack McInerney is tied for the MLS lead with six goals. . . . The Union were 2-6-1 after nine games last season.

About the Fire: Chicago's best win was a 3-1 triumph over the visiting New York Red Bulls. . . . Maicon Santos has two goals, the only Fire player with more than one.
