Hernandez, a former tight end with the New England Patriots, has been charged with the first-degree murder of semipro football player Odin Lloyd in Attleboro, Mass.
Hernandez, then a 17-year-old freshman, punched a Gainesville restaurant employee in the head, causing a ruptured ear drum, according to police.
Tebow told police he urged Hernandez to leave peacefully and tried to make arrangements to pay his bar bill. Hernandez was not charged as an adult.
Indianapolis Colts safety Joe Lefeged, 25, was released from a Washington jail on his own recognizance. Police said that during a traffic stop Saturday they found a semi-automatic pistol in the car in which Lefeged was riding.
NHL: Calgary got forward T.J. Galiardi from the San Jose Sharks for a fourth-round draft pick in 2015. The Flames signed the Calgary native to a one-year deal worth $1.25 million.
