College Basketball: Florida knocks off Kansas

Rutgers-Newark 60, Moravian 51 - Three Greyhounds scored in double digits but the Scarlet Raiders (6-2) hung on for the home win.

Matt Bosch (Ocean City) led the Greyhounds (3-5) with a team-high 15 points and nine rebounds.

Women

St. Joseph's 73, Hofstra 60 - Senior guard Erin Shields (Archbishop Carroll) became the 22d player in Hawks women's basketball history to reach 1,000 points for her career as she helped St. Joseph's (9-1) top the Flying Dutchmen (4-4) at Hagan Arena.

Shields, who reached the milestone at 5 minutes, 21 seconds of the first half, finished with a game-high 20 points in helping the Hawks to their eighth straight win.

Gonzaga 70, Wisconsin 55 - Jazmine Redmon scored 15 points as the No. 23 Bulldogs pulled away from the host Badgers (6-3) in the second half for the win.
