College Basketball: No. 3 Ohio State gets by Notre Dame, 64-61

The Buckeyes (12-0), who had a woeful second half from the field, closed the game on a 14-3 run.

Jerian Grant hit a three-pointer as the shot clock was expiring to give the Fighting Irish (8-4) a seemingly comfortable 58-50 lead with less than two minutes left. But the Buckeyes converted consecutive steals into a 58-56 deficit with 40 seconds to go.

Michigan State 92, Texas 78 - Adam Payne scored 33 points as the No. 5 Spartans (10-1) dominated the end of the game to beat the Longhorns (10-2) in Austin, Texas.

Louisville 85, Florida International 56 - Russ Smith scored 18 points as the No. 6 Cardinals (11-1) won their sixth straight, easing past the Golden Panthers (8-5) in Miami.

North Carolina 97, Davidson 85 - Marcus Paige scored 11 of his 17 points in overtime and J.P. Tokoto had 22 points and 11 rebounds to help the No. 14 Tar Heels (8-3) escape the Wildcats (4-8) in Chapel Hill, N.C. Brian Sullivan had 33 points for Davidson.

West Chester 84, Edinboro 77 - Eddie Mitchell (La Salle High) poured in 29 points as the host Golden Rams (8-3) held on to defeat the Fighting Scots (5-5).

Lebanon Valley 85, Delaware Valley 82 - Zach Sibel (Pennsbury) hit five three-pointers and finished with 22 points, but it wasn't enough as the visiting Aggies (5-5) fell to the Flying Dutchmen (3-6) in Annville, Pa.
