Falcons at 49ers

8:30 p.m., ESPN.

Line: 49ers by 14.

The lowdown:

Atlanta (4-10) is a heavy underdog to San Francisco (10-4) in the final regular-season game at Candlestick Park.

Candlestick has been the home field for five Super Bowl champions, 77 Pro Bowl players, and 22 Hall of Famers. The 49ers have won 19 division titles and hosted eight NFC championship games at the stadium by the Bay.

But even the players who starred at the 'Stick are not sorry to see it go.

"There weren't a whole lot of places that were worse," Joe Montana said.

"A dump," Dwight Clark said.

"The ugliest bucket in the league," Dwight Hicks said.

However, the 49ers have made the most of their surroundings. Their all-time record at Candlestick Park is 204-124-2.

This will be the 36th Monday Night Football game at Candlestick, the most at any stadium in NFL history.
