Ottawa blanks Pittsburgh

Craig Anderson made 27 saves for his second shutout of the season, and the Ottawa Senators defeated the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins, 5-0, on Monday.

Craig Anderson made 27 saves for his second shutout of the season, and the Ottawa Senators defeated the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins, 5-0, on Monday.

The Senators dominated the Penguins in the third, outshooting them by 15-9 while getting goals from Erik Karlsson, Kyle Turris and Cory Conacher.

Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves for the Penguins, but his five-game winning streak ended.

Elsewhere:

Mats Zuccarello and Derek Stepan scored shootout goals, and backup goalie Cam Talbot earned his second win in two nights as the Rangers shook off a late tying tally and beat the Toronto Maple Leafs, 2-1, in New York.

Hampus Lindholm scored the game-winner at 14 minutes, 24 seconds of the third period, and the Anaheim Ducks rallied past the Capitals, 3-2, in coach Bruce Boudreau's return to Washington. The Capitals fired him in 2011.
