When Lansdale Catholic's Ashley Seal stepped to the plate in the bottom of the seventh inning, the sophomore pitcher looked to finish what she had started.

With the game tied, Seal doubled home a run to give the Crusaders an 11-10 victory over Archbishop Carroll on Thursday in Catholic League softball.

The righthander threw all seven innings of the slugfest, striking out five and walking three. Seal improved to 8-0 this season.

Kristen Szczepaniak went 2 for 4 with six RBIs, belting a grand slam with two outs in the third, for Lansdale Catholic. Batting ninth, Kaelyn Motts drove in a pair of runs on two hits and scored a run.

In other Catholic League action:

Molly Larkin pitched a complete game for Little Flower, which edged visiting Bonner-Prendergast, 2-1. The senior struck out six and went 2 for 3 at the plate. Marikate Mieluchowski knocked in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth, driving home Siobhan Grant, who had entered as a courtesy runner after Larkin's single.

Janelle DeShields hit a two-run home run for Conwell-Egan in a 5-3 win at Neumann-Goretti. Alexis Gartner struck out seven in five innings to earn the win.

Public League Platinum. Sarah Rosenberg fired a one-hitter in Central's 10-1 win at Northeast. The senior righthander struck out 14 and walked one. Gwen Franklin scored three runs and had two hits.

Inter-Ac League. Julia Moriarty knocked in four runs on three hits and scored three times to lead Springside Chestnut Hill to a 17-4 victory over visiting Germantown Academy.

Nicole Wood went 4 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Ashley Lubisky had two hits, including a double, and knocked in three runs.

Bicentennial Independence. Bristol's Jade Stevens smashed a grand slam in the fourth inning of the Warriors' 18-0 rout at New Hope-Solebury.

Tianna Brewington hit a pair of doubles and drove in three runs for Bristol. Mary Wallick earned her 12th win of the season, striking out three over four innings.

Lacrosse

Betsy Prezioso put six in the back of the net for Germantown Academy, as the visiting Patriots defeated Springside Chestnut Hill, 15-13, in an Inter-Ac League game.

Jennifer Stack recorded a hat trick and had three assists for Germantown Academy. Goalie Allie Carrigan had seven saves in the win.

Public League. Kaitlin Iavecchia scored a team-high three goals for Franklin Towne Charter as the Coyotes defeated host Washington, 9-5.

Amanda Lawson and Christina Wong each scored twice for Washington.

Catholic Academies. Megan Parsons scored six goals and had an assist as Villa Maria defeated visiting Villa Joseph Marie, 21-5.

Caroline Mackrides deposited four goals for Villa Maria. Emily Wilson had seven saves in net to earn the win.
