Quakers beat Navy for first win

Tony Hicks finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for the Quakers (1-5).

Navy's Zach Fong hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 10 midway through the first half, but Hicks hit a three and Sam Jones hit two more in a 17-4 run by Penn, which took a 38-21 lead into halftime.

The Quakers extended their lead to 20 early in the second half.

A 9-1 run, which was capped by a three-pointer by Brandon Venturini, pulled Navy (2-5) within eight, 52-44, with 5 minutes, 25 seconds left, but the Midshipmen went 1 of 10 from the field down the stretch.

Fong and Edward Alade led Navy, which shot 34 percent from the field and 5 of 23 from three-point range, with eight points apiece.
