Tribbett could play Wednesday for Union

Union coach Jim Curtin said that defender Ken Tribbett, who missed the last three games with a right ankle sprain, will be available for selection for Wednesday's Major League Soccer game at Talen Energy Stadium against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Union coach Jim Curtin said that defender Ken Tribbett, who missed the last three games with a right ankle sprain, will be available for selection for Wednesday's Major League Soccer game at Talen Energy Stadium against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Tribbett started the first five games and was replaced in the last three at center back by Josha Yaro, the No. 2 overall selection in the MLS SuperDraft from Georgetown.

Whether Tribbett will play is something Curtin wasn't ready to announce on Monday. Curtin said the team is "fairly healthy."

He said everybody was at practice except for Maurice Edu, who remains out indefinitely due to a stress fracture in his left leg.

The only other player Curtin mentioned with any type of injury was defender Anderson, who dislocated his shoulder playing for the Union's USL affiliate, the Bethlehem Steel. Anderson hasn't played for the Union since starting in their opening 2-0 loss at Dallas.

The Union will get outside back Fabinho back after he had to sit out the last game due to yellow card accumulation. That game was April 30, a 1-1 draw with the visiting San Jose Earthquakes.

Ray Gaddis, who took Fabino's place, fared well against the Earthquakes

"We will have some tough decisions," Curtin said, referring to a number of starting positions.

The Union are 4-3-1 and face a Galaxy team that is 5-1-3 and coming off Sunday's 4-2 win at New England against the Revolution.

Sometimes teams rest players when traveling coast to coast and are playing two games in four days such as the Galaxy are doing. But Curtin says he expects Los Angeles to have its entire lineup. That includes star Robbie Keane, who scored twice against New England, his first game back since missing the previous five following knee surgery. Keane played 60 minutes.

"I am 99.99 percent sure every big name [from the Galaxy] will be here, and we are prepared for that," Curtin said.
