Adams activated from DL

Phillies reliever Mike Adams has been taken off the 15-day disabled list and will be available to pitch this afternoon against the Nationals.

The Phillies' set up man has been sorely missed during his time out since May 20 due to back spasms. The team will ship reliever B.J. Rosenberg back to Triple A Lehigh Valley to make room for 34-year-old Adams on the roster.

Despite quality appearances last night, bullpen arms such as Chad Durbin and Jeremy Horst have had disappointing seasons thus far, making the highly touted Adams' return all the more critical. The Phillies could potentially reach .500 this afternoon with a win, tying them with the division favorite Nationals.
