A Bristol sweep for Kyle Busch

BRISTOL, Tenn. - Kyle Busch completed an unprecedented NASCAR sweep of Bristol Motor Speedway with a drama-free Sprint Cup win Saturday in the Irwin Tools Night Race.

BRISTOL, Tenn. - Kyle Busch completed an unprecedented NASCAR sweep of Bristol Motor Speedway with a drama-free Sprint Cup win Saturday in the Irwin Tools Night Race.

Busch became the first driver in NASCAR history to win all three national events in the same week. He won the Nationwide race Friday night, and the Trucks race Wednesday night.

Busch intentionally wrecked Brad Keselowski to win the Nationwide race, and the two traded barbs and egged on the crowd leading up to the start of the Cup race. But there was never an on-track issue between the two, and Busch lapped Keselowski with a clean pass late in the race.

David Reutimann rallied from a bout with food poisoning to finish second, and Jamie McMurray was third.

IndyCar Series

SONOMA, Calif. - Will Power set an IndyCar Series record with his eighth pole of the season.

Power broke Helio Castroneves' 2007 record at Infineon Raceway, turning in the fastest time after barely making it into the final round of knockout qualifying.

The Australian made it around the 2.303-mile, 12-turn road course through California's wine country in 1 minute, 16.5282 seconds late in the final session.

Castroneves qualified second, 0.04 seconds back.
