NASCAR fans to vote on 1st race
THE FORMAT for the first NASCAR race of the year will be determined by race fans. Fans will be able to vote on the length of the race segments, pit stops and how many cars will be eliminated after the second segment of the exhibition Sprint Unlimited scheduled for Feb. 16 at Daytona International Speedway.

The lineup of 22 drivers will be composed of 2012 pole winners and past Shootout champions. Fan can vote on NASCAR's new mobile app or at NASCAR.com. Votes on the NASCAR Mobile '13 app will count twice. Fans also can vote on the style of firesuit Miss Sprint Cup will wear in Victory Lane.
In other racing news:
* Texas Motor Speedway will offer some frontstretch tickets at its lowest prices in 15 years for NASCAR Sprint Cup races at the track. Also, smoking will be prohibited in the grandstands.
* Mobil 1 will remain the "Official Motor Oil of NASCAR" through 2017 under a contract extension.
Baseball *
Hall of Famers were among dozens of players attending a memorial for former union head Marvin Miller at the New York University School of Law. Miller died in November at 95.
* A public visitation for Cardinals great Stan Musial will be Thursday at the Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis, with a funeral Mass on Saturday.
* The New York Mets re-signed lefthander Pedro Feliciano to a minor league contract.
Sport Stops *
Istanbul signed up seven leading Turkish companies to sponsor the city's bid for the 2020 Olympics, a $20 million deal. Tokyo and Madrid also are in the running.
