North Philly's Jennings raps another knockout

Each word became more intense and rapid as Bryant Jennings rolled through his victory rap. A dozen family and friends stood behind him and listened silently as they hung on each word.

"I'm never scared, I'm everywhere, they aren't ever there," said Jennings. "Come on, why would I ever care. Pound-for-pound, one of the best to ever come around here."

Instead of calling out his next opponent, Jennings chose to freestyle rap after knocking out Bowie Topou in the fifth round to successfully defend his USBA heavyweight title at Temple's McGonigle Hall. The win improved Jennings to 16-0 with 8 KO's.

Next for Jennings could be a shot at fellow undefeated heavyweight Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KOs). A win against Wilder may put Jennings on the fast track for a shot at either a Klitschko brother or Britain's David Haye.

Wilder, who meets Kelvin Price on Saturday, exchanged words with Jennings via twitter in September. But, both fighters already had December dates planned and could not arrange a fight.

"Excluding nobody, look what I embody," continued Jennings. "The soul of a hustler, I really ran these streets…And you can't live my life if you're not living it right."

Standing just a few feet from where he scored his knockout, Jennings was in no mood to announce his future plans.

"I don't even know, I'm chilling until I make my decision," said Jennings. "I have to go home and spend some time with my family."

His family cheered and followed their champion to the locker room.
