La Salle women fall to Monmouth

Gabby Singer scored 17 points as host Monmouth overcame a 19-point first-half deficit and captured the Hawk Holiday Classic with a 57-49 victory yesterday over La Salle at West Long Branch, N.J.

Morgan Robertson had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Ashley Gale scored 10 points for the Explorers (4-9), who shot 6-for-24 in the second half, going the final 5:58 without a field goal.

Carly Thibault had 11 points and Adriana Allen added 10 for the Hawks (5-6), who shot 56 percent after intermission.
