Eight Temple football players earned first-team All-Mid-American Conference, equaling the school record set last year.
Named to the first team were senior defensive back Jaiquawn Jarrett, senior nose tackle Elisha Joseph, senior offensive lineman Colin Madison, senior offensive lineman Darius Morris, sophomore running back Bernard Pierce, junior defensive end Adrian Robinson, junior tight end Evan Rodriguez and junior defensive tackle Muhammad Wilkerson.
Jarrett, Madison, Morris, Pierce, Robinson, and Wilkerson are Temple's first repeat MAC first-team selections. They join defensive tackle Dan Klecko (Big East 2001, 2002) as the only two-time first-team conference honorees in school history.
Named to the second team were sophomore running back Matt Brown and senior linebacker Elijah "Peanut" Joseph. Senior wide receiver Michael Campbell earned third-team honors.
The 11 All-MAC honorees are the second-most for the Owls since joining the MAC in 2007. Last season, Temple also had eight first-team honorees and a school-record 15 All-MAC honorees overall.
Temple led all MAC schools with 11 honorees, followed by Central Michigan and Kent State with nine each, and Miami with eight.
The Owls' eight first-team selections were the most of any MAC team, followed by Northern Illinois with six.
The 2010 Vern Smith Leadership Award and MAC Offensive Player of the Year honors went to Northern Illinois running back Chad Spann.
