Eastern Washington to meet Villanova in FCS semi

Taiwan Jones rushed for a career-high 230 yards for the fifth-seeded Eagles (11-2), who will host Villanova in the semifinals.

With the Bison (9-5) facing second and goal at the Eastern Washington 4-yard line, Jensen was hit by J.C. Sherritt and the ball came loose when his hands hit the turf. Zach Johnson recovered in the end zone.

An official review didn't overturn the call and fans stormed the field.

Georgia Southern 23, Wofford 20 - Jaybo Shaw ran 15 times for 60 yards and threw for a touchdown as the Eagles beat the Terriers, in Spartanburg, S.C., for the right to visit Delaware in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

Georgia Southern (10-4) led the quarterfinal, 20-3, at the half and was able to withstand a furious comeback by the Terriers (10-3) to win their sixth straight game.

Georgia Southern advances to the semifinals for the first time since winning its sixth national title in 2002, and will travel to No. 3 seed Delaware next week.

The Terriers outgained Georgia Southern, 343 yards to 246 yards, but fumbled six times, including one scooped up by Eagles defensive end John Douglas for a 20-yard touchdown. A 50-yard pass on Wofford's first drive got called back because of a block in the back.

Delaware 16, New Hampshire 3 - Pat Devlin threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns and the Blue Hens (11-2) defeated the visiting Wildcats (8-5) on Friday night in the FCS quarterfinals. The Blue Hens will host Georgia Southern either Friday or Saturday.

Devlin, who was 27 of 38, hit Nihja White with a 24-yard touchdown with 7 mintues, 9 seconds to go in the third, then found Mark Schenauer for a 9-yard TD with 13:04 left.
