St. Joe's women defeat Delaware

Erin Shields scored 15 points, and Katie Kuester added 13 to lead Saint Joseph's (8-3) to a 50-45 women's basketball victory at Delaware.

Jaquetta May had 14 points for the Blue Hens (6-3), who were without the services of star sophomore Elena Delle Donne, the nation's leading scorer (26.0), who felt ill and watched the game from the bench.

* At Seton Hall, Tajay Ashmeade had 15 points and 21 rebounds to lead the Pirates (6-7) to a 65-62 victory over La Salle.

Ashley Gale (17 points, 11 boards) led the Explorers (4-6). Duncan added 13 points and Ebonee Jones chipped in with 10. *
