JaJuan Johnson had 29 points and 11 rebounds for the Boilermakers (15-2, 4-1 Big Ten), whose 10-game winning streak ended.
Al Nolen added 13 points, eight assists, and three steals for the Gophers (13-4, 2-3).
Duke "knocked back." Top-ranked Duke hadn't lost in 25 games, the second-longest run in school history, and Florida State had lost twice in little more than a week when the Seminoles pulled off their latest upset of the Blue Devils, 66-61, on Wednesday. It was the third time since 2002 that Florida State beat a top-ranked Duke team at home.
"They knocked us back," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said.
Fisher, Jardine on Cousy list. Villanova's Corey Fisher is among 20 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award, given to the nation's outstanding point guard. Fisher is averaging 15.3 points and 4.8 assists for the seventh-ranked Wildcats. Syracuse junior Scoop Jardine, a Neumann-Goretti graduate averaging 13.8 points and 6.0 assists for the No. 4 Orange, is also on the list.
