Ohio State, the lone remaining unbeaten team and one of only three Top 10 teams not to lose last week, was the unanimous No. 1.
Kansas and Texas, the other Top 10 teams to escape last week without a loss, jumped four places to second and third, respectively. Rounding out the Top 10 were Pittsburgh, Duke, Connecticut, San Diego State, Brigham Young, Notre Dame and Kentucky.
In the nation: Jordan Hamilton scored 20 points and No. 3 Texas (19-3, 7-0 Big Twelve) rolled to a 69-49 win over No. 16 Texas A&M (17-4, 4-3) in College Station, Texas. . . . Chris Wright scored 24 points, and No. 13 Georgetown (17-5, 6-4 Big East) overcame blowing an 11-point second-half lead to pull out a 62-59 victory over No. 15 Louisville (17-5, 6-3) in Washington.
In the area: Evan Pupelis had 17 points for McDaniel (11-8, 8-4 Centennial Conference) in a 69-43 rout of Swarthmore (5-14, 2-10) in Westminster, Md. Will Gates scored 17 points for the Garnet. . . . Jon Hogga had 17 points and 14 rebounds as host Gwynedd-Mercy (14-4, 9-2 Colonial States) won its seventh in a row with a 70-48 pasting of Keystone (14-4, 8-4). . . . Dave Burton had 22 points and Bruce Kennedy added 21 as host Cheyney (12-6, 2-4 Pennsylvania State) snapped a three-game skid with a 86-72 victory over Kutztown (12-6, 5-1). . . . Denzel Mooney had 16 points but Lincoln (2-14, 1-8 CIAA) suffered a 68-51 loss to Virginia Union (9-6, 7-4) in Richmond, Va. . . . Rob Siter had 15 points as host Immaculata (7-10, 5-5, CSAC) pinned a 66-47 loss on Baptist Bible (5-11, 3-6).
Dragons on ESPNU. Drexel will host Kent State at the Daskalakis Athletic Center for a Bracketbusters game at 9 p.m. Feb. 18 on ESPNU. The game between the Dragons and the Golden Flashes is one of 11 selected to be televised.
Honor roll. Penn forward Jack Eggleston was named the Big Five player of the week. The senior had 25 points and 12 rebounds in an 80-78 overtime win against Brown on Saturday and had 13 points Friday in the Quakers' 66-58 win over Yale.
Chestnut Hill College junior center Dan Comas (Archbishop Wood) earned his first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference player of the week award after averaging 19.0 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Griffins.
Cabrini sophomore guard Cory Lemons was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference player of the week after guiding the Cavaliers to a 3-0 week, averaging 16.7 points and 6.7 rebounds.
