Penn State's Ware plans to transfer

Penn State backup defensive tackle Brandon Ware said he is going to transfer for personal reasons, according to the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

Ware, of Harrisburg, would have been a redshirt junior next season. The newspaper reported that Ware sent a text yesterday that said he is "transferring for personal reasons. I don't know where yet, though."

Ware also said in a text message that he most likely will transfer to a lower level.

Ware, 6-3, 337 pounds, played in 11 games last season and had two tackles. *
