Connecticut recruit picks Penn State

Malik Golden, one of the top prospects out of New England, has made an oral commitment to attend Penn State, according to several published reports.

The rising senior star from Cheshire Academy in Newington, Conn., chose the Nittany Lions over Connecticut, Boston College and Iowa.

Though he was recruited at both wide receiver and defensive back, he has been projected to play cornerback under coach Joe Paterno.
