The Maxwell Football Club will no longer present the Joseph V. Paterno Collegiate Coach of the Year Award, the club announced in a news release today.

This is second award that has removed Paterno's name in the aftermath of the sexual abuse scandal at Penn State and Paterno's firing.

The Stagg-Paterno Championship Trophy was scheduled to be presented to the winner of the Big Ten football title game Saturday in Indianapolis. The trophy instead will bear only Stagg's name.

The club will continue to present the Maxwell Award for the Outstanding Collegiate Player of the Year and the Bednarik Award for Outstanding Collegiate Defensive Player of the Year.

The 75th annual awards ceremony is scheduled for March 2.
