Suspended Cincinnati forward Yancy Gates apologized to everyone, from his family to his entire hometown, for throwing a blindside punch that left a bloody gash below the eye of a Xavier player.

Then, he broke down in tears.

The Bearcats made their four suspended players attend a news conference on Monday and apologize for their part in a brawl that ended eighth-ranked Xavier's 76-53 victory on Saturday and brought the city a lot of bad national publicity.

Lehigh 95, Arcadia 55 - Stefan Cvrkalj scored 19 points off the bench and the Mountain Hawks (9-3) glided to a win over the Division III Knights (5-4) in Bethlehem, Pa.  

Baruch 78, Rutgers-Camden 71 - The 5-5 Bearcats went on a 12-3 run early in the second half to break open a close game, then outlasted the Scarlet Raptors (2-5) in New York.

Sophomore forward Mike Payne (Conwell-Egan) scored a career-high 22 points for Rutgers.

Temple University senior guard Ramone Moore was named the Big Five player of the week. Moore shared the honor with Carl Jones of St. Joseph's. . . . Penn guard Tyler Bernardini was named Co-Ivy League player of the week along with Harvard junior Kyle Casey. . . . Widener junior Kate Dellinger was tabbed Commonwealth Conference women's basketball player of the week and Widener senior Jack Brennan (Sterling) was picked the league's men's basketball player of the week. . . . Elizabeth Coyne (Downingtown West) was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball player of the week.
