College Basketball: Oral Roberts whips depleted No. 8 Xavier

The eighth-ranked Musketeers (8-1) didn't have point guard Tu Holloway, shooting guard Mark Lyons, or freshman forward Dez Wells, who account for 40 percent of their points. The trio was suspended for a brawl against crosstown rival Cincinnati.

Penn State 72, Mount St. Mary's 43 - Tim Frazier led five Nittany Lions (7-5) players in double figures with 15 points to beat the visiting Mountaineers (1-9).

Princeton 71, Northeastern 62 - Ian Hummer scored 12 of his 20 points in the second half as the visiting Tigers (6-6) beat the Huskies (3-5).

Rosemont 88, Penn State-Abington 73 - After trailing by four at the half, the Ravens (6-4) went on to beat the visiting Nittany Lions (2-5).

Garland to La Salle

Two-time Public League scoring champion Tyrone Garland is returning home and will transfer to La Salle, according to a source.

Garland, a sophomore, announced on his Twitter account on Friday that he was leaving Virginia Tech. He'll be eligible for the Explorers in the spring semester of 2013.
