Murray State players are on a mission: Prove hiring coach Steve Prohm was the right move.

No. 22 Murray State is one of six undefeated Division I men's basketball teams - joining Syracuse, Louisville, Baylor, Missouri and Indiana. The Racers, out of the Ohio Valley Conference, are off to their best start in 75 years at 13-0.

When Billy Kennedy left for Texas A&M, senior forward Ivan Aska knew exactly who the next coach should be. He passionately shared his support for 37-year-old Prohm - an assistant on Kennedy's staff - with athletic director Allen Ward.

Aska apparently was onto something. The Racers beat then-No. 21 Memphis on Dec. 11 and broke into the Top 25 regular-season poll for the first time in 40 years.

Rankings. With Syracuse No. 1 for a third straight week, the top seven teams remain the same in the Associated Press' Top 25.

Harvard moved into the rankings for the first time three weeks ago, then dropped out after one week. The Crimson are back at No. 24.
