Greg Roman, the 49ers offensive coordinator and native of Ventnor, N.J., who has interviewed for the Penn State football head coaching job, told a San Francisco-area website he sees the Nittany Lions position as "a lifetime job."

He also said that his focus is on the 49ers, who will host an NFL divisional round playoff game Jan. 14.

"That's a very unique opportunity at Penn State, so that's something I'd definitely consider strongly," Roman said on csnbayarea.com.

Roman told the website, "That's a job if I were to become the head coach there, I wouldn't leave there. I'd be back East, setting up camp, I'd be at the [Jersey] Shore in the summer. And that would be my routine."
