College Basketball: Georgetown women defeat Villanova, 60-54

The Wildcats (15-11, 5-8) pulled within two points, 31-29, with about 13 minutes to play, but Georgetown went on an 11-3 run.

Laura Sweeney (Cherokee High) led Villanova with 16 points, and Devon Kane (Notre Dame Academy) added 10.

Holy Family 83, Wilmington 24 - Katie Duman came off the bench and tied her career-high with 20 points and set a new career best with 14 rebounds as the Tigers (19-7, 15-2) beat the host Wildcats (2-19, 1-15) and remained in first place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

George Mason 62, Virginia Commonwealth 61 - Sherrod Wright hit a long three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Patriots (22-6, 14-2), their 10th win in 11 games and keep them tied for first in the Colonial Athletic Association with Drexel.

VCU (22-6, 13-3) saw its 11-game winning streak end.

Delaware 71, Hofstra 57 - Jamelle Hagins posted his 13th double-double of the season with 14 points and 18 rebounds and the Blue Hens (14-12, 10-6) won their fifth straight in a Colonial Athletic Association game by defeating the Pride (8-20, 2-14) in Hempstead, N.Y.

Georgia State 67, James Madison 64 - Jihad Ali had 19 points and nine rebounds as the Panthers (18-9, 10-6 CAA) held off the host Dukes (11-17, 4-12) in Harrisonburg, Va.

TCU 102, UNLV 97 - Hank Thorns scored eight of his 32 points in overtime as the Horned Frogs (15-10, 5-4 Mountain West) overcame an 18-point deficit to beat the the No. 11 Running Rebels (22-5, 6-3) in Fort Worth, Tex.

Clemson 60, Virginia 48 - Andre Young and Tanner Smith scored 13 points each and the host Tigers (13-12, 5-6 Atlantic Coast Conference) held the No. 22 Cavaliers (19-6, 6-5) to their second-lowest point total this season.

Seton Hall 94, St. John's 64 - Jordan Theodore scored 16 points and dished out 10 assists to lead Pirates (18-8, 7-7 Big East) to a rout of the Red Storm (10-16, 4-10) in Newark.

Ohio State 78, Minnesota 68 - William Buford scored 24 points to spark the No. 6 Buckeyes (22-4, 10-3) and Jared Sullinger added 23 in the win over the Gophers (17-9, 5-8) in Minneapolis.

Holy Family 63, Wilmington 52 - Alberto Munoz had 24 points to lead the Tigers (12-11, 8-7 CACC) past the host Wildcats (10-14, 6-9).

Widener 91, Lebanon Valley 70 - Jack Brennan (Sterling) had 17 points and 11 rebounds as the Pride (18-6, 9-4 CC) beat the Dutchmen (11-13, 4-9) in Chester.
