College Basketball: Michigan wins duel with Ohio St.

Jordan Morgan had 11 points and 11 rebounds, playing all-American forward Jared Sullinger to a virtual stalemate as No. 17 Michigan beat No. 6 Ohio State, 56-51, on Saturday night to remain unbeaten at home.

Trey Burke scored 17 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. added 13 for the Wolverines (20-7, 10-4 Big Ten), who improved to 15-0 at the Crisler Center by snapping a six-game losing streak to their longtime rivals.

Deshaun Thomas had 25 points and 14 rebounds for Ohio State (22-5, 10-4). Sullinger scored 14 points on 6-for-14 shooting.

Kansas State 57, Baylor 56 - Angel Rodriguez had 15 points and six assists and the Wildcats (18-8, 7-7 Big 12) made up for his potentially costly turnover in the final seconds and held on to beat the No. 9 Bears (22-5, 9-5) in Waco, Texas.

New Mexico 65, UNLV 45 - Drew Gordon scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to lead the host Lobos (22-4, 6-4 Mountain West) to their seventh straight victory, beating the No. 11 Rebels (22-6, 6-4).

Air Force 58, San Diego State 56 - Michael Lyons scored 27 points and the host Falcons (13-11, 3-7 Mountain West) upset the No. 13 Aztecs (20-6, 6-4) when Xavier Thames' off-balance three-pointer fell short at the buzzer.

Marquette 79, Connecticut 64 - Jae Crowder had 29 points and 12 rebounds to lead the No. 12 Golden Eagles to a road victory over the Huskies and keep Marquette in position for a double bye in next month's Big East tournament.

Darius Johnson-Odom added 24 points for Marquette (22-5, 11-3 Big East), which won for the 10th time 11 games.

Jeremy Lamb had 19 points to lead Connecticut (16-10, 6-8), which fell to 2-3 in the five games coach Jim Calhoun has missed with back problems.

Georgetown 63, Providence 53 - Hollis Thompson and Jason Clark scored 13 points each and the No. 10 Hoyas shut down Friars shooters for the second time this season.

Georgetown (20-5, 10-4 Big East) held host Providence (13-15, 2-13) without a basket for a 14-minute stretch in the first half.

Cincinnati 62, Seton Hall 57 - Dion Dixon scored 20 points and Cashmere Wright added 13 for the host Bearcats, who never trailed the Pirates (18-9, 7-8 Big East).

Cincinnati (19-8, 9-5) has won two straight and three out of four going into a conference matchup Thursday with No. 19 Louisville in Cincinnati.

Louisville 90, DePaul 82 - Russ Smith hit back-to-back baskets in overtime and the No. 19 Cardinals (21-6, 9-5) rallied from an early 17-point deficit to beat the Blue Demons (11-15, 2-12) in Rosemont, Ill.

St. John's 66, UCLA 63 - D'Angelo Harrison scored 22 points, Phil Greene added the biggest of the host Red Storm's offensive rebounds with 6.5 seconds to play and St. John's (11-16) snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over the Bruins (15-12).

St. Bonaventure 81, Rhode Island 61 - Andrew Nicholson scored a season-high 32 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the host Bonnies (15-10, 8-5 A-10) handed the Rams (5-24, 2-12) their fifth consecutive loss.

St. Louis 66, Fordham 46 - Cody Ellis scored 20 points and the host Billikens (22-5, 10-3) won their sixth in a row, beating the Rams (9-16, 2-10), who have dropped five straight.

Harvard 66, Yale 51 - Brandyn Curry scored 18 points and Keith Wright tied host Harvard's career block record in the Crimson's win over the Bulldogs (17-7, 7-3 Ivy).

The Crimson (23-3, 9-1 Ivy League) dominated to win their 27th straight home game, the second-longest streak in the nation.

Princeton 75, Cornell 57 - T.J. Bray scored 16 points as the host Tigers (15-10, 6-3) defeated the Big Red (10-14, 5-5) for their fourth consecutive victory.

Dartmouth 58, Brown 53 - Tyler Melville scored six of his 15 points during host Dartmouth's game-winning run, as the Big Green (5-21, 1-9) defeated Brown (7-20, 1-9).

Delaware 68, Hampton 64 - Devon Saddler scored 26 points and scored six of the host Blue Hens' final eight points for their sixth straight victory.

Jamelle Hagins just missed a double-double with nine points and 15 rebounds for Delaware (15-12) in the Bracket Busters game with the Pirates (9-17).

     Philadelphia University 76, Felican 55 - Center Temi Adebayo scored a game-high 18 points and rejected nine shots as the host Rams (17-8, 12-4 CACC) topped the Golden Falcons (7-18, 4-14 CACC).

Cheyney 69, Shippensburg 59 - Deshawn Curtis posted a double-double in the first half to lead the Wolves (4-16, 3-13 PSAC) over the Red Raiders (7-15, 4-12) in the final home contest of the season.

Curtis ended the game with 16 points and 16 rebounds.

Nyack College 80 University of the Sciences 79 - Garret Kerr recorded his 19th straight double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds but the Devils (5-19, 3-13 CACC) lost to the Warriors in Nyack, N.Y.
