Temple (21-9), which lost a 14-game winning streak in the Atlantic 10 semifinals, was hoping to continue its streak of eight consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Instead, the Owls are in the WNIT for the first time since 2001.
St. Joe's (21-10) will make its third straight appearance in the WNIT after posting its most wins 2003-04 , including 10 non-conference victories. BU's (23-7) visit is another homecoming for coach Kelly Greenberg, who was inducted into the Big 5 Hall of Fame last month.
Villanova (17-14) is in the postseason for the 10th time in 13 seasons and in the WNIT for the first time since 2008. And Drexel (18-13) is in the WNIT for the third consecutive season and in the postseason for the fourth straight year.
