Lincoln's O'Brien again wins ECAC honor

O'Brien, who leads NCAA Division II in goals with 14, drew even with Coatesville alumna Stephanie Anderson's single-season record for goals last Friday in a 3-2 overtime win over Salem International. The sophomore midfielder tied the contest at 2 in the 88th minute to send the game into overtime. In the extra session, O'Brien tied Anderson's record with a goal in the 105th minute to give Lincoln a 3-2 victory.
Lincoln returns to action at 2 p.m. Sunday in Lakewood, N.J., against Georgian Court.
Jake Nelson of St. Joseph's was named the Philadelphia Soccer Six player of the week, while teammate Tim Lazorko earned rookie honors. Co-defenders of the week were La Salle's John McCarthy, Villanova's Kyle McCarthy, and Drexel's Tim Washam.
Swimming. The College of New Jersey has been selected as the favorite to win the 2012-13 New Jersey Athletic Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championship in a preseason poll of the league's five head coaches. The four-time defending conference champion Lions will be seeking their 12th NJAC title in program history, and their fifth consecutive league crown since the return of women's swimming and diving as a conference sport in the 2008-09 academic year.
Rowan was picked second, followed by Montclair State, Ramapo, and William Paterson.
